Each and every one of the Mini Handball team coaches with us simply because they love handball and sharing their passion.
Let’s meet them now…..
My first introduction to handball was during the 2012 Olympic Games whilst studying Sports Psychology and Coaching Sciences at Bournemouth University.
I immediately wished I’d known about handball earlier in life and knew there and then that it was a sport I wanted to coach and grow in the UK. This was the start of the Mini Handball Dream…
Fast forward 10 years and my life revolves around handball development.
Hi everybody I’m Ellie and I’m one of the coaches for Mini Handball. I have been playing handball for 8 years now and it’s the best sport ever! My favourite thing about handball is how fast the game is, which means lots of running and lots of goals scored!
As a left hander I play at Right Back/ Wing or as a Pivot. A fun fact about me is that I can catch a ball one handed.
Handball really is so much fun that I just want to help spread the word and share my passion through coaching.
Can’t wait to meet you!
One of the things I love the most about my job is seeing children play Handball for the first time. The smile on their faces is contagious!
I started off my journey playing, but quickly realised I wanted to coach this amazing game and introduce it to as many children as possible.
I can truly say I love what I do and also can’t wait to meet you :-)
After 20 years as a primary school teacher and Head of PE, my favourite thing is still seeing children working together in teams and playing a sport they love. I only discovered handball 3 years ago but quickly realised it is the perfect sport for primary aged children (and beyond!) as it is accessible to so many and so much fun!
My job at Mini Handball means I can help to introduce the sport to as many children as possible and really develop playing opportunities in order to grow the grassroots game in the UK. I love seeing children at our tournaments with huge smiles on their faces!
Hopefully we’ll see you soon!
Hi I'm Jess, one of the Handball coaches for Mini handball. I’ve been playing handball since year 7 and have taken every opportunity to play handball ever since! I was given the opportunity to play for Dorset & South West of England. I still play now for Poole Phoenix women’s team and the AECC (Anglo-European of Chiropractic) team.
I remember going to training and watching older players coach the younger generation and wanting to join them and now I’m finally able to show my love of the sport and help develop the next generation of handball players!
Hello my name is Andre and I'm originally from Portugal.
I started playing handball at 6 years old in my hometown Leiria.
When I moved to England 5 years ago I started my coaching career and it was the best decision I could make in my life.
I'm really happy to start this project in Aylesbury because I know the importance of starting to play a sport in such young ages. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do!!
Hi my name is Rose and started to play handball when I was 14 years old. I am left handed which is perfect for handball. My position was right wing and back. I am originally from Bosnia and Hercegovina where handball is very popular and when I moved to UK in 2009 not many people heard about handball so I started slowly to introduce it in primary schools and now I’m proud to say that I am one of the coaches of Mavericks club in Aylesbury. Through my current job -SGO role has given me a lot of opportunities for coaching handball and organising events for participation and on competitive level in primary’s and secondary schools in Bucks. Mini handball is an amazing opportunity for all children and I cannot wait to see you all there. Join me on this handball mania journey 🤾🏼♀️🤾🏾
